You can add an expense by tapping their circle. Tip 2: Transaction type selector When adding a new transaction, you can choose from an expense, an income, or a transfer within the group. Expenses from bill are useful when you need to enter specific items from a receipt. Tip 3: Minimize the number of debt settlements Our debt algorithm minimizes the number of transactions among group members that are necessary to settle up. This means that you might end up paying somebody who you don't owe directly. If you don't like this feature, you can turn it off in Edit group menu. Tip 4: Expense categories You can sort each expense in categories, which is useful for filtering transactions. You can also create your own custom categories simply by choosing from your emojis.
